Upon arrival in Marrakesh, a driver will whisk you away to your Riad Hotel. Nestled within the lively Medina, this peaceful haven offers a welcome escape from the city’s energy. Before dinner, you’ll have a half-day tour to explore the Medina’s captivating souks and historical sights.
Relax in comfort as your private, air-conditioned 4×4 with driver whisks you away from your hotel. Wind your way through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, taking in the breathtaking scenery. Your final destination is the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immerse yourself in history by staying overnight at a traditional hotel with a pool, and spend the next day uncovering the wonders of this ancient Berber town.
Following an adventurous journey through the desert sands, you’ll be greeted warmly by Berbers at your nomadic campsite, your first stop under the vast desert sky. Savor a delightful Moroccan dinner prepared over a campfire, all while gazing at the breathtaking blanket of stars above.
Our adventure begins along the dried-up banks of the Draa River. We’ll pass by the charming old village of M’hamid, nestled amidst a beautiful palm grove. After lunch under the shade of a desert Tamarisk tree, we’ll set up camp for the night at Sidi Naji. This trek is around 3-6 hours, but we can adjust the pace to your needs. And don’t worry, there’s always backup support with a 4×4 vehicle.
Camp is set up at the foot of the stunning dunes of Zahar, where our journey begins. As we travel out into the open desert plains, a deep sense of peace washes over you. (The hike is approximately 3-6 hours, but can be tailored to your needs. 4×4 backup transport is also available.)
On our way to Erg Chegaga, a breathtaking area of the Sahara, we’ll stop at the base of the towering dunes for a relaxing stay at Luxury Camp. You’ll have time to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the region before enjoying dinner by the campfire. The trip will involve some walking (around 3-6 hours, adjustable to your preference) with backup by a 4×4 vehicle.
After a morning meal, your driver will take you on a return trip to Marrakech, following a new desert route. This scenic path will cross the Iriqui dry lake bed, pass by Foum Zguid, and wind through the rug-making center of Taznakht. The journey will conclude with a drive back through the Atlas Mountains. To unwind after your adventure, you can choose between a relaxing Hammam and massage treatment either in the late afternoon before dinner or the following morning before you depart.
