Morocco Two Week Itinerary

Our 2-week adventure kicks off in Tangier, Morocco’s captivating coastal city! This vibrant town boasts beautiful weather and a rich history, evident in landmarks like the Grand Mosque. We’ll also explore St. Andrew’s Church, a significant site for Tangier’s Christian community. After soaking up the city’s charm, we’ll head to our hotel for a relaxing dinner and well-deserved rest before our Moroccan explorations begin.

Our Moroccan adventure continues! After breakfast on day two, we’ll hit the road for Assilah, a charming coastal town nestled on Morocco’s northwest tip. Assilah boasts stunning beaches and a rich history, making it a sight to behold. We’ll explore the town on a sightseeing tour and rest up for the next day’s adventures at our hotel.

Our Moroccan adventure continues! On day four, we’ll swap Rabat for El Jadida. Our road trip takes us through Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic heart. We’ll check out the city’s vibe, explore its old medina, and be wowed by the Hassan II Mosque – Africa’s second-largest and architecturally stunning. Its towering minaret, the world’s second tallest at 210 meters, will leave you breathless! After soaking up some ocean views, we’ll hit the road for El Jadida, where we’ll rest up for the night.

Morocco’s bustling economic heart, Casablanca, boasts the country’s largest city and a fascinating mix of old and new. We’ll delve into the city’s historic medina and marvel at the architectural wonder of the Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest in Africa. This beauty boasts the world’s second-tallest minaret, reaching a staggering 210 meters! After soaking up some ocean views, we’ll head to El Jadida for a relaxing overnight stay at our hotel.

Rise and shine! Today, we’ll fuel up with breakfast before hitting the road for Essaouira. This stunning coastal city boasts a rich history, impressive monuments, and a vibrant atmosphere. We’ll soak in the views from its beautiful ramparts and unwind on its famous beaches, a haven for sunbathers, surfers, and water sports enthusiasts.

Essaouira even has a unique claim to fame: the annual Gnaoua Festival. If your travels align with the festival, you’re in for a treat!

After exploring the city’s highlights, we’ll check into our hotel for some relaxation and a well-deserved rest, marking the end of a fulfilling day six on our Moroccan adventure.

Our trip starts with a stop in Agadir, a bustling city on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. We’ll explore its highlights, from the gorgeous beaches that draw visitors worldwide to the historic Kasbah, a once-mighty fortress guarding the port. After soaking up Agadir’s charm, we’ll continue to Sidi Ifni, a southwestern gem where we’ll spend the night.

Day eight of our Moroccan adventure is packed! After fueling up with breakfast, we’ll hit the bustling streets to explore the city and capture some picturesque moments. But the day doesn’t end there! In the afternoon, we’re off to the stunning Elgzira Beach, famous for its giant natural arches carved by time and tide. The beach boasts breathtaking views that are sure to leave you speechless. By nightfall, we’ll head back to our hotel to rest up for the next leg of our journey.

On day nine, we’ll hit the road early for Ouarzazate, with a stop in Taroudant, a charming walled city nicknamed “Little Marrakech.” Here, you can browse traditional crafts like jewelry and carpets in the peaceful medina. After soaking up the sights, we’ll continue on to Ouarzazate for an overnight stay. Buckle up, because tomorrow we’ll explore the Kasbah of Taourirt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive towers and walls.

Rise and shine early on this special day! We’ll be up before dawn to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara Desert, feeling the cool desert breeze on your face. After a refreshing shower back at camp, we’ll embark on a thrilling journey deeper into the desert. Get ready to meet the fascinating nomads who call this place home and learn about their unique way of life.

Our adventure doesn’t stop there! We’ll enjoy a delicious Berber pizza lunch, a true taste of the region. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Khamlia, a village known for its vibrant Gnawa music, a soulful tradition with roots in Sub-Saharan Africa. We’ll then visit a refreshing oasis before returning to our comfortable desert camp for a relaxing evening under the stars.

An early wake-up call is worth it to witness the magical desert sunrise. Capture the moment with photos to cherish forever. Our journey continues to Rissani, a charming town bordering the Sahara. Explore its bustling traditional souks, where merchants offer a colorful array of local treats, handcrafted souvenirs, and even live animals!

Next, we’ll hit the road, passing through the towns of Alnif and Tazarine. Our final stop is Agdz, a Berber village nestled near Zagoura. This enchanting location will be our home for the night, marking the perfect end to a memorable twelfth day in Morocco.

Our Moroccan adventure continues! Today, we hit the road for Marrakesh, but not before a detour to a stunning World Heritage Site: the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This collection of traditional earthen houses looks like a scene straight out of a painting. Movie buffs might recognize it from famous films like Gladiator and The Mummy! After soaking up the scenery, we’ll wind our way through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, with panoramic views, Berber villages, and towering peaks along the way. By nightfall, we’ll be back in Marrakesh.

We’ll visit iconic landmarks like Djemaa el-Fna, a bustling square teeming with snake charmers, storytellers, and curious explorers. Then, we’ll head to the impressive Koutoubia Mosque, one of Morocco’s largest. This beautiful mosque boasts stunning gardens, water features, and a towering minaret.
